We are following breaking news on a standoff with police that's happening right now in Memphis. As I am writing this, we have police surrounding a home, people are inside, weapons are drawn. We have a crew there bringing you updates throughout the morning on WMC.

A Memphis city councilman is now in the center of the battle to "Save the Greensward" campaign. Kemp Conrad is being blamed for pushing an ordinance through city council giving control of the Greensward to the zoo. Now, there's a push to remove Conrad from the council.

Terrorism is suspected in the downing of the Egypt air flight from Paris to Cairo, although nothing has been confirmed. Egypt State TV said search teams found the wreckage, but no one else is saying they found the wreckage yet. We'll give you the latest confirmed information on WMC this morning from the alert center.

A new case of Zika has been confirmed in Tennessee as Congress approves money to combat the disease and to try and develop a vaccine. We're talking about it this morning on WMC.

Oklahoma lawmakers passed a bill to criminalize abortion in their state, making it a felony for doctors to perform the procedure. The news is making headlines across the country. The legislation is the first of its kind throughout the country.
