Blink Health is changing the way you pay for your medicine. The start up company works by going directly through drug manufacturers.

This is how it works: when you get your prescription, your insurance provider typically pays for your prescription. They then pay the drug maker.  Depending on the type of insurance you have, you can end up paying much more than the cost of the drug.  Blink works by going straight to the manufacturer, paying them and not insurance companies.

Everything is done through the Blink app or website.  You pay with a credit card, and then you get a card to show to your pharmacy.

You can print this card, write it down or just show it through your phone.  Most major pharmacies will accept the card, including CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, and COSTCO.  Blink works best with common generic prescriptions.

According to Blink, you can save up to 95 percent on your prescriptions through their app or website.  For example, a prescription of 20mg Lipitor can normally cost a retail price of $163.24 dollars.  However, with Blink you can purchase it for $9.94.

You can find everything you need to know about Blink on their website which can be found by clicking here.
