Carrollton, TX (WMC) -

Police in Carrollton, Texas have released video of a weekend car chase that ended with a baby being pulled from a car's backseat.

The video starts with the chase, on the busy highways of the Dallas suburb. Then, the chase ends, a man jumps out of the car and leaps over a fence. The video switches to an officer's body camera. Incredibly, this was the first day officers in the city were deployed with the technology. In the back seat, the officer finds a baby unbuckled.

The officer stayed with the infant as others went after the man who led them on the dangerous chase. The child was only 6-weeks-old. Police tracked down the man to the bathroom of a Starbucks, body cameras rolling as police enter the bathroom with guns drawn.

Gerard Perry, 23, now faces a handful of criminal charges including evading arrest and child endangerment.
