5 Great Things: Newspaper teen, OneVoice, hole-in-one

The Mid-South is just full of great things that make it wonderful. Here are five reasons that prove it.

Newspaper teenager graduating

Every Sunday, Kevuntez King stands on the corner of Poplar Avenue and Estate Drive to sell newspapers. He plans to use the money he makes to go to college. King is headed to Tennessee State University to study Physical Therapy.

Briarcrest OneVoice

Briarcrest Christian School's a cappella group is getting national attention. The group is set to perform on NBC's hit show "America's Got Talent" on Tuesday.

Youth Activities in Memphis

Citadel of Deliverance Church is teaming up with the Shelby County Health Department for a new camp this summer. The Tech Camp is an effort to help children in a positive way during summer break.

Teen gets a hole-in-one

Corbin Andrada, 13, hit his first hole-in-one this week. Corbin used his seven iron to drill the 130 yard shot at the Olive Branch Country Club. Very impressive, Corbin.

UofM Students Covering Olympics

And last but not least, 14 University of Memphis journalism students are going to Rio to cover the 2016 Olympics. The students will be able to write stories from the games.
