901FEST is a celebration of all things Memphis!

"Memphis music, Memphis food, Memphis merchandise, if anybody wants to really just feel Memphis all in one place, 901FEST is the place to be," Memphis hip-hop pioneer and producer Al Kapone said.

He will perform, along with The Incredible Hook, Frayser Boy, North Mississippi Allstars, the Irish Orchestra, Lil Wyte, and more!

Kapone promises he'll bring hype.

"I'm going to bring you that Memphis crunk, that energy, but then I got a little soul in me too," he said.

It's a contrast to what has been a long-time tradition with the Sunset Symphony but with many similarities.

Kapone performed with the symphony for their last show at Memphis in May and, despite what people may think, he said the orchestra often collaborates with hip-hop.

"Outside of that, I've done the New Daisy with them, GPAC with them, and performing with the symphony is always a blast for me," Kapone said.

901Fest gates open Saturday, May 28, at 3 p.m. at Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis, with an airshow beginning at 4:15 p.m. Admission includes a firework finale.

Kids ages 6 and under are free, adult tickets are $10 at the gate.

Kapone promises clean fun for the entire family.

"If you want to feel Memphis and you haven't felt it the way you want, come and feel it," he said. "It's Memorial Day weekend and you have family in town and you want them to feel Memphis, 901Fest is where you need to be."
