Trio arrested, accused of robbing two women

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Three people have been arrested for the robbery of two women on Kerr Avenue.

The robbery happened on May 18.

Police said Ayeisha Rivers, Danuel Drain and Manuel Drain approached a woman, who got into an argument with Rivers.

According to the affidavit, Rivers hit the woman with a baseball bat during the argument.

As the woman tried to defend herself, Manuel Drain fired shots in the air while standing close to the fight.

Police said Rivers then grabbed the victim’s Michael Kors purse.

Another victim who was also in the area dropped her wallet and ran upon witnessing the shooting. Police said Rivers also took this wallet.

The three then got into a car and drove away.

Danuel Drain was arrested on May 22, Rivers was arrested on May 25, and Manuel Drain was arrested Sunday.

The three are all charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property. The Drains also face charges of reckless endangerment.
