MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is behind bars after a woman said he shot at her Saturday.

According to police, the woman said she was involved in a car crash near Green Grove Drive and Kinston Park Drive. She said the driver of the other vehicle got mad and fired multiple shots into her vehicle.

One of the bullets went through her vehicle and hit the cellphone in her hand, which she was holding up to her face to call 911.

The woman's vehicle was hit approximately eight times. Both rear windows were shot out of her vehicle.

The woman identified Quinton Gray as the person who fired the shots.

"My kids were playing outside when this happened,” Pedro Perez said.

Perez was sitting in his truck when the crash and shooting happened.

"The black car pulled over in the front of her and started shooting,” he said. “They broke the front glass and back glass. You could see holes on the outside of the doors."

After the shooting, Gray attempted to leave the scene in his vehicle but lost control and hit a mailbox.

A teen was home when the mailbox was hit.

"I just heard some gunshots around the corner and my dog came and jumped on the couch next to me,” the teen said. “I came and looked outside. It was just, wow."

The woman was not injured in the shooting.

"It's just crazy. That's all I can tell you. I think God was watching over her."

Gray is being held on a $150,000 bond. He’s charged with attempted second-degree murder, reckless driving, and more.
