Mississippi State freshman Malik Newman has decided to transfer after just one season with the Bulldogs.
Newman appeared in 29 games, starting 22, and he averaged 11.3 points, 2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds.
The Jackson Mississippi native was ranked 10th in the class of 2015 by ESPN, and decided to play close to home, despite receiving offers from Kentucky and Kansas.
A source close to the situation told ESPN he was "unhappy with his role and how he was utilized.
