Police are searching for two men accused of stealing a dog.

Police said a home on Justine Street was burglarized on May 22 just after 11 a.m.

Police said the two men broke into the family’s home when they were at church. On top of things like their TV, the suspects took a seven-year-old Chihuahua named Honey.

"It was just like a part of me was gone,” Ralynne Cain said.

Cain said she wasn’t a dog person until seven years ago when she adopted Honey as a puppy.

"She's my baby,” she said. "The house just feels very empty. No noise. Just kind of like depression."

Cain said honey is a little dog with a big personality that thought she ran the house.

"She tickled me one day. There was a big dog, and I'm scared of big dogs,” she said. “And she turned and went and ran that dog all the way down the street."

Cain said one day she forgot she had something on the stove, and when it started smoking, Honey alerted her son.

Cain is begging to get the dog back.

"Whoever it is, I just forgive them. I just want her,” she said. “I don't want her to suffer. I don't want nobody to mistreat her. I just want her to be back at home."

Police said the suspects were seen driving a mid-sized black four-door SUV.

Police said they have no reason to believe Honey is in danger now. Cain said whoever has her can just drop her off, no questions asked.

She said if the person is worried about being seen, they can drop Honey off at the end of the block, because she knows how to get home from there.

If you have any information on where Honey or the suspects may be, call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
