MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is behind bars, accused of trying to attack another man with a forklift.

The victim told police Michael Chambers was fired several months ago and was not allowed back at the trucking distribution center on Getwell Road. However, on May 14, Chambers came back and got into an argument with the victim.

According to the police report, Chambers knocked off the victim's glasses and grabbed his shirt during the argument. The victim said he pulled out a box cutter to defend himself, then walked away.

That's when he said he heard the forklift start.

The victim said Chambers was driving the forklift and tried to hit him several times. He was able to escape before Chambers came down the ramp on the forklift and drove out of the business.

The victim said Chambers used the forklift to flip his truck onto its side, then left.

Chambers was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and vandalism between $10,000 and $60,000.
