MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Kroger shoppers in Germantown now have a new way to buy groceries.
ClickList is a new service that allows shoppers to order their groceries online and pick them up without even having to get out of their car.
Ecommerce manager Jeff Evans explains that with ClickList, a shopper's order will be handled by Kroger's staff and be reserved for them.
"It will feed to our system and we will go out and shop for you," Evans said.
Shoppers can order online from home or at work, and when a shopper uses ClickList, all they have to do confirm their shopping order, select a pick-up date and time, and pull up to one of the designated parking spots to get their groceries. All a customer has to do is pay with a credit or debit card for them.
While some shoppers will prefer to pick out their own groceries, others like Lauren Shaffrey believe that Kroger will not have a problem getting online customers.
"A lot of people are going to use it. I hope they are ready for the demand," Shaffrey said.
Kroger is currently trying to hire more workers to meet the demand for the new service.
Kroger ClickList will begin to run on June 16.
