MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man is behind bars, accused of making methamphetamine inside a home in Memphis.
Shelby County Sheriff's Office detectives searched a home on Merritt Street for Damian Umberger, 29, on Friday.
According to the police report, Umberger is a known methamphetamine manufacturer and had active warrants for his arrest.
Detectives found Umberger on the back porch of the home and he was detained. They also found several items that indicated meth was being made at the time.
Umberger said the items belonged to him and that he started making the meth around 11 a.m. that day. He told officers what he used to make the meth and how much he expected to get from the process.
Umberger was arrested and charged with initiating a process that led to the manufacture of methamphetamine.
