MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man is accused of raping a 13-year-old boy multiple times.
On Monday, detectives searching for a 13-year-old runaway said they were able to find him from a post on his Facebook page. While interviewing the teen, he showed detectives text messages on his phone between him and the suspect, Zachary Murphree, 40. Some of the texts were sexual in nature.
On the night the boy ran away, detectives said Murphree texted him about meeting up with an Uber driver he had sent for him.
The victim said Murphree and another man, who the victim only knew as 'Bear', raped him multiple times. The victim also told detectives that the suspect made him watch pornography depicting minors engaging in sexual activity.
Murphree was arrested and admitted to raping the 13-year-old. He is charged with six counts of aggravated rape.
