Here's a peek at our Friday morning headlines

Good morning and Happy Friday!

We are officially in a heat wave and we have a heat advisory through Saturday night at 8pm. There are still people without power this morning dealing with these extreme temps. Details on the day and week ahead on WMC Action News 5.   

This weekend a local pastor is asking asking you to wear blue to show your support for our officers. Churches are saying that "Blue Sunday" and Black Lives Matter" can both be part of the same message. We'll explain this morning.

The final night of the RNC ended on a high note with Ivanka Trump and her father Donald Trump taking the stage. We have the highlights from the last night and we look ahead to the DNC next week.

New video this morning from the first responders trying to save lives during that attack on an Orlando nightclub. We'll show it to you this AM.
 
A young Memphis artist hopes to inspire others through his paintings which are based on his own personal experiences with police, racism, and gun violence. We'll introduce you this morning on WMC.
