WMC puppy love happens at first sight

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - It's not typical that a person falls in love on live TV, but that's just what happened for WMC Action News 5 anchor Felicia Bolton and her new furry friend, Collin Alexander Bolton.

The 12-week-old Spaniel, Chihuahua mix was a guest on the Saturday morning show with Collierville Animal Shelter.  Collin walked in as an orphan, looking for a loving family. Then, he left the station in Bolton's arms.

"With one look at him, I knew he was the one," Bolton said. "I waited a long time to get another pet, after my Great Pyrenees passed away 3 years ago. She was with me for almost 15 years."

Oddly enough, it seems to be a running trend at the station for a weekend anchor to find their furry friends on live TV.  Main anchor Kontji Anthony had the same experience while she worked the weekend shows in her previous role. She said her beloved dog Stax found her and changed her life.

Enjoy the slide show of Collin Bolton. He's already rocking his WMC Action News 5 Blue and lots of kisses from his new mom!
