(WMC) - More than 26,000 baby monitors are being recalled due to a burn hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the batteries in Lorex Care 'N' Share video monitors can overheat, swell, and expand. The battery cover can then pop off, exposing hot batteries that pose a burn hazard.
Almost 500 people reported that the batteries overheated and almost 150 people reported that the plastic casing came off. No injuries have been reported.
Model numbers included in the recall are WL3520, WL4320, and WL3401.
People who have the monitors should stop using them immediately and contact Lorex for a full refund. The affected monitors were sold between May 2013 and April 2016 and cost between $60 and $140.
