The Memphis Redbirds open their final home stand of the season Wednesday night at AutoZone Park.
It's been a tough year for the 'Birds on the field, currently in last place in the Pacific Coast League's American South Division, but, business is picking up off the field and in the stands.
At some point during the four-game home set, the Redbirds will welcome their 10 millionth fan Downtown to AutoZone Park.
The Redbirds need just a little under 12 thousand fans to make the mark.
That 10 millionth fan will be showered with all kinds of gifts, prizes, and recognition.
The Zone is now in its' 17th season as the crown jewel of Downtown's Renaissance.
Opening to Pacific Coast League record-breaking crowds with a Pennant winning team in 2000, attendance dwindled somewhat mid-decade, but thanks to park changes by the city and new ownership in Minor League Baseball Magnate Peter Freund, attendance is on an uptick.
