Southaven Police collecting donations for Louisiana flood victims

The Southaven Police Department is collecting donations for Louisiana residents devastated by recent flooding.

The flooding is being blamed for at least 13 deaths. More than 60,000 homes have been damaged.

To help with the clean-up, the Southaven Police Department is sending cleaning supplies to the flood victims. The Louisiana Emergency Management has an urgent need for cleaning materials.

The department has released this list of items:

  • Clorox
  • Mold Remover
  • Brooms
  • Mops
  • Plastic Buckets
  • Spray Bottles
  • Liquid Soap
  • Flat Nose Shoves
  • Garbage Bags
  • Plastic Gloves

Donations can be dropped off at the rear parking lot of the Southaven Police Department, next to Southaven Public Library.
