MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Two men are dead following a shooting in Wingood Manor Apartments.

The shooting happened in the 3500 block of the apartment complex just before 11 a.m.

Police said one victim was found shot and lying in the street. That person was pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition where he later died.

Investigators said the suspect left the scene. The suspect’s description is unknown.

The two men leave behind seven children.

Family members identified the men as 30-year-old Irving Guy and 22-year-old Joshua Stallworth.

"He got shot and he's laying on his floor," Irving's sister-in-law, Jasmine Nathan, said.

Family said Guy was found on the floor upstairs and was shot in his side.

"He was meeting somebody and that's all I can say, and something happened," Nathan said.

Stallworth's girlfriend, and mother of his six-week-old child, rushed to the scene when she saw the news on Facebook.

"It said he was shot and he was gone," Unique White said.

It's unclear what led to the men being shot. Guy has been in the news before, however. He had previous charges ranging from domestic assault, attempted second-degree murder, and kidnapping.
