The sound of nitro-burning funny cars and top fuel dragsters are roaring this weekend out at Memphis International Raceway.
It's the World Series of Drag Racing, making its Memphis debut after a 63 year run in Illinois.
Speed, Speed, and More Speed is on tap this weekend with many of the top drivers in the sport, from the sportsman's classes on up to the pros are taking part, like 6-time Top Fuel World Champion Clay Millican, of Drummonds, TN.
He calls the Memphis Quarter-Mile 'Home.'
"You're going to see some of the best fuel dragsters in the world," says Millican. "10-thousand horsepower, nitro burning, crazy fast, 300 miles per hour, dragsters, the world champions they're racing here working hard. there is a lot of things going on."
Action Continues all day Saturday at Memphis International Raceway.
