The town of Crenshaw to honor veterans

QUITMAN COUNTY, MS (WMC) -

On Thursday, September 1, the town of Crenshaw, Mississippi will honor the men and women of the armed forces, law enforcement, firefighters, and paramedics.  

This is the 20th year the Quitman County town will present their "Tribute to Those Who Serve" program.  The event, hosted by Crenshaw Mayor Oscar Barlow, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Crenshaw Fire Department.  

It's an opportunity to thank those who dedicate their lives to protect and serve the public.  

Each year state and local officials attend the program, and this year's event will feature guest speaker  U.S. Congressman Bennie Thompson.  The event it free and open to the public.
