MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Editorial by Tracey Rogers, Vice President and General Manager of WMC Action News 5.

The flooding in Louisiana has faded from the headlines, but there are still many people trying to rebuild after losing so much.

With that in mind, we are partnering with Southaven RV to collect donations for the people impacted by these devastating floods.

They need baby food, formula, diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, canned soft drinks, garbage bags, and many other items.

You can find a full list here.

There's an 18 wheeler set up outside Southaven RV off I-55 on Pepper Chase Road where you can drop off items for delivery to Baton Rouge.

Clothes are not needed for this trip.

I encourage you to stop by and make a donation if you possibly can.

WMC Action News 5's Ron Childers will be at the 18 wheeler on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please stop by and say hello!

The giving spirit in the Mid-South is what makes our community so special and makes this a Better Mid-South.
