MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

When the University of Memphis opens its season against Southeast Missouri State this weekend at the Liberty Bowl, Tiger fans will probably be thinking blowout.

That's been the case in the last two home openers.

Memphis mauled Missouri State last year 63-7.

The year before, Austin Peay got pounded by the Tigers 63-0.

SEMO will be the third straight 1-AA opponent to open against the U of M.

The RedHawks are getting votes in the FBS Poll.

Tigers wide receiver Phil Mayhue said his team is not going to make points a premium for game one.

"We really don't worry about that stuff," says Mayhue. "We really just worry about what we have to do to be successful. Throughout this week we need to clean up what we need to clean up, and just worry about what we have to do. We have a great deal of respect for any opponent we have to play. So, we're just going with the same mindset with any team."

Kickoff for the Tigers and SEMO Saturday is 6 p.m. at the Liberty Bowl.
