MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Firefighters and law enforcement officers do a lot to serve the Memphis community. More than we even know, really. For that reason, Crye-Leike Midtown will serve up some ice cream in return to show appreciation for everything they do.

The ice cream appreciation event will be held on Friday, September 2 from 1- 4 p.m. as a way of saying "thank you" to those who put their lives on the line for us every day.

"We wanted to do something to show appreciation and thanks to as many first responders as possible," Crye-Leike Midtown Managing Broker Carol Lott said. "Plus, it's hot there and who doesn't like ice cream?"

Ice cream will be served at Crye-Leike Midtown, located at 1715 Union Avenue. If you're a firefighter, first responder, police officer, or sheriff's deputy in, or around, Memphis, feel free to stop by, grab a bite, and cool off!
