MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

From the treadmill to the dance floor, some Memphians are ditching the gym and heading to the Disco for a workout.

Raiford’s Cardio Disco happens once a month at Paula and Raiford’s Disco on 2nd street in Downtown Memphis.

"Come in here and get a feel of the disco and still dance," said Paula Raiford.

Raiford joins in on the workout as well. The workout is led by fitness instructor Deontario James. James helps you feel the vibe of disco while you feel the burn.

Raiford said the class is for all ages and even those who don't think they can dance.

“I love coming to Raiford's, but I am not a good dancer," said Prestley Mcgee.

Mcgee and her friends came to check out the cardio disco.

“We're excited about coming to work out and having fun while doing it."

The Cardio Disco takes place on the third Thursday of each month and cost $10.
