MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is charged with advertising a 16-year-old girl as a prostitute.

According to the police report, officers stopped a car without a license plate on Elvis Presley Boulevard on Wednesday. The man driving, later identified as Lazaraeo Dixon, gave police a fake ID with the name Derron Guy. The fake ID was suspended.

The passenger in the car gave a fake name and a fake date of birth, but police later identified her as 16 years old. She told officers she lied because she didn't want to get Dixon in trouble. She then said she was in a relationship with Dixon, who is 21 years old.

On Dixon's phone, investigators found pornographic images of the girl. She told officers that Dixon posted advertisements of her online, then would rent her a room for the purposes of prostitution.

Dixon is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, trafficking for commercial sex act, offense of advertising commercial sexual abuse of a minor, and statutory rape.
