Tina Turner fans can fulfill their Wildest Dreams at hometown celebration

BROWNSVILLE, TN (WMC) -

The Fifth Annual Tina Turner Heritage Days will feature three days of tours, concerts, celebrity appearances, and a stew master competition to honor the 20th anniversary of Tina’s album “Wildest Dreams.”

The festival kicks off Friday, September 23 at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center (WTDHC) in Brownsville, TN.

“We are so excited to host Tina’s most devoted fans once again at the Delta Heritage Center, home of the Tina Turner Museum, this September 23 to 25,” WTDHC Executive Director Sonia Outlaw-Clark said. 

This year’s celebration features four of the world’s top Tina Turner tribute artists on stage inside the gymnasium at Tina’s former high school, Carver High. 

The tribute show starts at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24.

Appearing that afternoon will be Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s star and former Ikette, Miss Robbie Montgomery, signing “Sweetie Pie’s Cookbook” at 2:00 p.m.

The weekend also includes a fan gathering, unveiling of Tina fan art, karaoke and the TinaFam Dance Off.
