MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis police officers arrested three people who said they were collecting money for their ministry while blocking traffic.

According to the police report, officers saw two women and a man--Ashley Yarbrough, Lakisha Green, and Mark Thomas--walking in the middle of Appling Road near U.S. 64 with flyers and buckets in their hands Sunday.

Officers said the group kept walking into traffic, causing cars to stop to keep from hitting them.

According to the affidavit, officers asked the three not to solicit at the intersection the day before.

All three had Texas drivers licenses.

All three were arrested and charged with obstructing a highway or passageway.
