The Ole Miss Rebels lost more than just the game Monday night against Florida State.
Defensive back Kendarrius Webster is lost for the season after tearing ligaments in his knee while defending a first quarter pass.
Then, Eric Swinney went down with a knee injury on his first carry--a blow to the already limited running back corps.
Former St. Benedict Star Jordan Wilkins was declared academically ineligible due to not enough class hours before the season.
"You hate that part of the game," Rebels Head Coach Hugh Freeze said. "And neither injury looked good. I believe there's been some teams that lost early games and have gone on and done really well. That would be our interpretation."
Freeze and the Rebels next host Wofford on Saturday in Oxford.
