Despite having a new coaching staff at the University of Memphis, going 1-0 each week is still the mantra for the Tigers.
The U of M won't have any problem this week, an open date, but that doesn't mean new head coach Mike Norvell is taking a break.
He will need to figure out why the Tigers didn't run the ball well in their opener, a 35-17 victory over SEMO.
Norvell said, "They were stacking the box to stop us on the run. We've got to do better there but, I'm pleased how we responded throwing the ball. We got off to a good start, but left some points on the field."
The Tigers don't play again until September 17 when the Kansas Jayhawks come to the Liberty Bowl.
