SOUTHAVEN, MS (WMC) -

A woman who said she was held hostage last month is speaking out.

Christopher Hudgens, 36, was arrested by Southaven Police after a stand-off on Kackybrook Cove. He is being charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Now, his reported victim is speaking out about what led up to the stand-off and how she escaped.

She said she knows Hudgens through a mutual friend, and was checking on him after she found out he had a death in the family.

She said what started innocent enough quickly turned ugly.

"He pulled me by my hair. He was beating the crap out of me," she said.

She said Hudgens pushed her into the home. She said he beat her and pistol whipped her. Before long, police had the house surrounded.

She said Hudgens was armed with two guns and threatened to kill her.

"He pistol whipped me, and held the trigger," she said.

She said she broke down and started praying. Shortly after she was able to escape the home.

Hudgens was shot in the hand during the standoff and taken Regional One Medical Center. When he is released, he will be extradited back to DeSoto County.
