MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Two teens on a mission to combat bullying managed to get the attention of the Memphis police director.

High school juniors Denise Bonds and Alexis Burnett met with Mike Rallings on Wednesday.

Their movement is called “Girlz Invasion” and has been in the works since they were in 7th grade.

“The purpose of the group is look for better ways to like, keep our community safe and look for a better way to interact with each other, and we focus on bullying, self-esteem, and social media,” Bonds said.

The girls said meeting Rallings was an amazing experience.

They said one goal they have is to have anonymous comment boxes placed in Shelby County Schools where students can report bullying.
