COAHOMA CO., MS (WMC) -

After nearly a year without closure, three people are now charged with capital murder in the death of a housekeeper who was killed after interrupting a robbery.

According to Coahoma County sheriff's deputies, Jeanne Cox was found dead in Coahoma County on November 19, 2015.

by the homeowner where she was working as a housekeeper.

"I drove up and found her," Charles Harlow said. "It was awful."

Harlow owned the home where Cox was found dead. Harlow said Cox was working as a housekeeper for him. Now that three people are facing charges in Cox's death, memories of that day come flooding back.

"Terrible," he said.

On Monday, deputies got a breakthrough in the case that led them to arrest Brittany McCown, Marianne Caffey-Webb, and Robert Davenport. All three are charged with capital murder.

"Can you imagine going to work and your family never seeing you again. It's sad," Crystal Taylor said.

Taylor lives just houses down from where Cox lived and said the mother of three and grandmother was loved by many.

"She had a beautiful smile, a wonderful sense of humor," Taylor said.

Those who loved Cox said it hasn't been easy since her death.

"It's odd to look down the street and not see her car or her playing with the cats or waving," Taylor said. "It took a long time to get that she was truly gone."

But the three arrests bring the neighborhood and Cox's family a little closer to closure.

"For this to happen to just an average person, it's scary in one sense and sad in another," Taylor said.

The three suspects are being held in the Coahoma County jail with no bond.
