(WMC) -

Week 4 of Friday Football Fever is in the books, this week brought some tough-fought battles. Here is some of the best action from Friday night:

Whitehaven 27, Ridgeway 8

The teams began the game with bad blood, with Whitehaven not interested in shaking Joesph Newberry’s hand.

Newberry would follow that snub with an interception off QB Lesley Mosby. Newberry would take the pick all the way, but the touchdown would come back for sideline interference.

Whitehaven got on the board first when Kylan Watkins took a handoff for 9 yards and a touchdown.

Ridgeway would answer later when Tyrike Sandusky hit Vincent Taylor in stride for a touchdown, but Whitehaven would roll the rest of the way.

MUS 27, Grenada 7

The Owls came out of the gate hitting hard, knocking out Quen Thompson’s mouthpiece on a brutal hit.

The Owls drove down the field, when Steven Regis hit Maurice Hampton for a touchdown just before the half.

St. George’s, 49 ECS 14

It was a private school duel in Cordova.

St. George’s would roll early. Gryphons quarterback Ben Glass found Corey Jones for a huge touchdown for 80 yards to give his squad an insurmountable lead.

Keegan Westbrook would relieve Glass at quarterback, but it made no difference. He hit Summer Darlington in the back of the end zone for six as St. George’s win in a blowout.

White Station 36, Olive Branch 28

The Conquistadores welcomed the Spartans to Olive Branch, and White Station responded by taking a 12-7 lead.

Olive Branch would respond when quarterback Cole Catledge hit a slant to Jaylon Gale, who made a cut and took the ball to the 3 yard line. Next play, Chris Williams took a handoff for the touchdown to put Olive Branch up 14-12.

White Station would come right back. Trevor Forbes carried the ball for a big run to put the Spartans at the 23 yard line, but the drive would stall. On 4th down, White Station faked a field goal with a pass to Jeremy Farmer, who would pick up the first down.

Three plays later, quarterback John Lyons ran the ball in for a score to put White Station up 19-7 as they fought for a win.

DeSoto Central 24, Lake Cormorant 21

The Jaguars welcomed White Station into Southaven.

With the Gators controlling the ball early, down 7-0, QB Ben Rohrbacher tossed a pass on the run that was tipped and intercepted by middle linebacker Javon Harris, Jr., who would return the ball to the 26 yard line.

The Jaguars would take over on offense, with Hampton Houston hitting Keshunn Abram, who would spin move his way to the five yard line.

The Jags couldn’t punch it in, however, and they settled for a 30 yard field goal to take a 10-0 lead. They'd squeak out a 3-point win.

Hernando 58, Lewisburg 19

Hernando hosted the Patriots and jumped out to a 7-0 lead on the visitors when Lewisburg went on a drive.

Quarterback Jacob Krumm would find Tal Brower with a catch to move the ball to the 28 yard line. Several plays later, Mark Smith punched it in for a 2-yard touchdown. The Patriots would miss the extra point and trail 7-6.

Hernando responded when Karleke Oliver took the ball to the 12 yard line on a big run. The run set up QB Robert Wilcke to take the ball on a keeper, punching it in for a touchdown to give the Tigers a 14-6 lead.

Bartlett 42, Oakhaven 6

In Bartlett, the Panthers took their 3-0 lead into a battle with Oakhaven.

Wasting no time, sophomore Philip Thompson took the opening kickoff 60 yards for a touchdown to put the Panthers up 7-0.

The next Bartlett series, running back Marquavius Weaver weaved in and out of traffic and took it 45 yards for a score to put his team up 14-0.

The scoring would stay steady as Bartlett rolled to victory.
