MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A woman pleaded guilty to playing a role in the robbery and murder of a Memphis minister in 2014.

According to District Attorney General Amy Weirich, Lashonda William was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday for helping commit first-degree murder in the death of Pastor Don Smith.

Smith was found shot to death on November 1, 2014 in the woods near Lichterman Road.  William's boyfriend at the time, Roger Reed Jr., was previously convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. He was also convicted of especially aggravated robbery and will be sentenced on that charge on September 22.

Investigators said Reed and Williams got into Smith's car after an arrangement for prostitution between them and the pastor, but Reed then shot Smith in the head and took his watch and $40. The pair then dumped Smith's body and took his car to Greenville, Mississippi, where they were arrested four days later in the pastor's car.
