Woman charged in $1300 hair heist

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A woman is behind bars, accused of stealing $1,300 worth of hair from a store.

On September 6, the owner of Industry Locs Hair told officers that three women came into the store and ran out with several bundles of hair.

The owner said two of the women came into the store and asked about Peruvian hair weave. When the hair was placed on the counter, one of the women grabbed the hair, worth $1,355, and ran out.

All three women got into a blue Chevy Malibu and drove off.

Tenister Evans was later developed as a person of interest in this theft. She was arrested and charged with theft of property.

    Since September, employees have been given three options:  Get the flu shot, get an approved religious or medical exemption, or leave Essentia. At least 50 people have lost their jobs thus far.
