2 men charged in Germantown car burglary spree

GERMANTOWN, TN (WMC) -

Two men are in jail in connection to multiple Germantown auto burglaries and thefts, according to Germantown Police Department.

Germantown police said the burglary happened on September 13 in the 7300 block of Bellville Drive.

Officers said two men left the scene just before officers arrived.

According to the police, the suspects, 23-year-old Jeremiah Smith and 31-year-old Louis Carlisle, were caught a short time later.

Investigators said the two men have been charged in connection to five auto burglaries and associated thefts that happened on September 13.

Police said Smith and Carlisle are linked to seven previously reported auto burglaries and one aggravated burglary. Charges for those cases are pending.
