MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Memphis Tigers football may get one of its top offensive performers back on the field this week.

Senior Sam Craft is back practicing with the team after he went down early in training camp with a hamstring injury.

The former Craigmont High and Olive Branch star accounted for almost 450 yards rushing and receiving last season with 7 touchdowns.

"The next 48 hours will be big for him," said Head Coach Mike Norvell. "We're gonna have to see exactly where he gets to. We're going to check out his reps and get a better sense later in the week."

The Tigers next face Kansas at the Liberty Bowl.

Kickoff is 11 a.m. Saturday.
