A jury convicted a man in the case of a carjacking that happened two years ago in Frayser.

Jerissac Morgan, 20, was convicted Thursday of facilitation to commit carjacking. He faces three to six years in prison when he goes for sentencing next month.

According to investigators, a man reported two men pointed a gun at him and stole his car on December 16, 2014. The carjacking happened in the 3300 block of Valley Stream Cove, just east of Davy Crockett Park.

After a police broadcast went out alerting officers of the carjacking, officers spotted the vehicle and pulled it over in the 3900 block of Ajanders Drive, just south of the park.

Morgan ran from the vehicle, but police caught him.

The second individual involved in the carjacking was never caught.
