Funeral arrangements set for 10 killed in house fire

Funeral arrangements have been set for the 10 people killed in house fire on September 12.

The 10 people, seven children and three adults, were pulled out of the home in the 1100 block of Severson Avenue.

Memphis Fire Department said the fire was caused by a malfunction in the power cord of their air conditioner.

Six children and three adults were pronounced dead at the scene. One child, Cameron Hollingsworth, 9, was taken to the hospital and placed on life support. He was pronounced dead on Wednesday. His family made the crucial decision to donate his organs.

The Jett Family funeral arrangements

The funeral for Ms. Eloise Futrell, 61, Angel Mitchell, 17, Ernest Jett III, 9, Cameron Hollingsworth, 9, Diamond Jett, 8, Kiera Jett, 5, and Precious Rose Jett, 2, will be Friday, September 23 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 767 Walker Avenue, Memphis, TN 38126.

The visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m.

Carol Collier funeral arrangements

The funeral for Ms. Carol Collier, 56, will be Saturday, September 24 at Greater Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 3090 N Trezevant Street, Memphis, TN 38127.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.

The Ward Family funeral arrangements

The funeral for Ms. Lakisha Ward, 27, and Alonzo Ward, 7, will be Saturday, September 24 at New Salem Baptist Church, 2237 South Parkway East, Memphis, TN 38114.

Visitation starts at 12 p.m. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m.

All visitation and funeral services are open to the public.
