We may be smack in the middle of football season in the Bluff City, but AutoZone Park is gearing up for one more night under the lights.
The Triple A National Championship baseball game set for a Tuesday tilt Downtown, pits the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders against the El Paso Chihuahuas.
Making his return to Memphis with the RailRiders is shortstop Pete Kozma.
The former Redbird, who also spent time in St. Louis with the big club, is now trying to make his place with the New York Yankees organization.
He says the goal Tuesday is the same as every game this season.
"We're all competitors, so if we come out here and don't get a win, there's gonna be a little disappointment," says Kozma, "But, at the same time, we've had an unbelievable season, we have unbelievable players who aren't here right now, they're where they're supposed to be up in the big leagues. But at the same time, most of these guys are from double A and they're still filling in. It's just nice."
It's a winner-take-all contest starting Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. and televised nationally on NBC Sports Network.
