MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

After eluding police during a car chase, one man found himself in the dog house when police finally caught up with him.

Memphis police said a man tried to break into the ATM at Bank of America in the 4500 block of Summer Avenue on Monday morning with a crowbar.

According to Bank of America, the ATM sustained approximately $9,900 in damages.

After the alarm went off, police arrived on the scene to see a man standing at the ATM that matched the suspect's description.

The alarm company alerted police of the man's description based on live video.

When the suspect saw officers, he got into his metallic blue, four door, car with Florida tags and sped off northbound on Berclair Road.

Police tried to pull the man over, but he refused to stop.

Instead, he kept driving and turned eastbound onto Novarese Road from Berclair Rd. The suspect's vehicle then made a U-turn in the front yard of a house on Novarese Rd and went back the other way.

He then went northbound back onto Berclair Road, where officers lost him in the chase.

However, they received a call about an abandoned vehicle that matched the suspect's description in the 4500 block of Sandy Cove.

Officers called the K-9 unit and began searching for the suspect.

Terrance Scott, 22, and Cordney Tabors, 23, were found in the 1000 block of Berclair Road.

According to the affidavit, Tabors was hiding in a dog house behind a home and Scott was standing in the driveway.

Scott is in jail on a $20,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. He is charged with vandalism $1,000- $10,000 and evading arrest.

Tabors is charged with driving with a suspended/revoked license, improper display of registration, and two counts of violation of probation. He is in jail on a $1,100 bond and scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
