2 fallen TN firefighters to receive national recognition

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

Two Tennessee firefighters killed in the line of duty will be remembered at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on October 9 in Maryland.

Fallen Memphis firefighter, Lieutenant Terrence Pryor, will be among those remembered for their service.

Pryor, who served as a lieutenant for more than 20 years, died from a heart attack after responding to calls in May. He leaves behind his wife and two sons.

Christopher Blankenship from Madison County will also be added to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. Blankenship died after a tree fell on him while putting out a car fire. He spent 11 years working as a firefighter; he is survived by his wife and two children.
