SeaPort Airlines stops operations due to bankruptcy

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

SeaPort Airlines, operated out of Memphis International Airport and based in Portland, Oregon, announced Tuesday it has stopped all its operations due to bankruptcy proceedings.

The airline ceased operations effective Tuesday because of Chapter 7 bankruptcy. 

The airlines offered service to Harrison, AR and Hot Springs, AR. 

"Customers with tickets on SeaPort Airlines that were purchased with MasterCard or VISA credit cards may apply for a refund through their credit card company. Customers using other credit cards must inquire at their respective credit card companies about refunds," the airline said.

"All air service is important to our operations at MEM, and we will work to assist these affected cities to maintain their connection to Memphis and the Mid-South," Scott Brockman, President and CEO of Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, said.
