Man wearing FedEx jacket charged with burglarizing four cars

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is charged with breaking into several cars.

According to the police report, a man in a FedEx jacket and pants was trying to break into cars on Agnes Place near Lamar Avenue and Central Avenue. The man then ran away on Heywood Street towards Lamar Avenue.

Officers saw the suspect on Lamar, but he then ran away. After chasing the suspect, he was taken into custody.

The suspect had stolen items worth $665 from four cars. He also had a knife, a flash light, and a pair of gloves.

The suspect was identified as David Dockery. He is charged with burglary, theft of property, possession of burglary tools, and evading arrest.

The police report does not say whether Dockery is a FedEx employee.

FedEx replied saying he is not a FedEx employee:

"Our records indicate that no one named ‘David Dockery’ is currently employed by FedEx.”
