Memphis Grizzlies are bringing back a familiar voice to FedExForum.

John Paul Stevenson will serve as the interim public address announcer for 2016-17.

Stevenson served as the team’s in-arena announcer from 2001-2006. He has since spent the last 10 season with the Houston Rockets.

“This is a special opportunity for me to return and be a part of a city and with an organization that I love,” Stevenson said. “Being surrounded by old friends, and having the ability to give back to a community that embraced me and gave me their attention and affection makes this chance truly meaningful.”

Stevenson will replace Rick Trotter, who was arrested and charged with filming upskirt videos of women at the church he worked at.
