Memphis Grizzlies and Indie Memphis partner for 'Indie GrizzGrants'


The Memphis Grizzlies and Indie Memphis are looking for some talented and creative individuals to produce a short film about the female Grizzlies fan experience.

The Grizzlies and Indie Memphis have joined together and will provide five cash grants of $3,000 each. The winning films will premiere at the 2017 Indie Memphis Film Festival. 

Filmmakers from around the world are eligible to participate.

The deadline for your application to be submitted is November 15.

Winners will be notified of the results on December 16.

A three-member jury has been compiled to judge the entries. The jury includes film and media experts Craig Brewer, Rachel Smith, and Pat Mitchell Worley. 

Projects will be evaluated on a variety of things, including: creativity, artistic merit, innovative storytelling, and visual ingenuity.

If you are wanting to be considered for the contest, you must submit four specific things.

Candidates must provide:

- Previous work: one film, clip or reel no longer than 10 minutes
- Title, logline, synopsis
- Brief budget summary
- Personal statement on why your project should be awarded
