Memphis continues to mourn the 10 people killed in a house fire two weeks ago.

The lives of seven of those victims were celebrated Friday with a large funeral service. Saturday the remaining three victims were celebrated.

Services for Carol Collier were held at Greater Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

Collier was remembered for her spirit.

“She had such a bright and lively spirit,” Reverend C.E. Stanback said.

Services for LaKisha Ward and her son Alonzo Ward began at 1 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church.

“Your prayers, telephone calls, cards, visits, flowers, food, and other expressions of kindness mean so much to us,” family friend Beverly Williams said.

Verionica Trammel was in attendance, remembering her daughter and grandson.

“My first born grandson--my ride or die friend, me and him,” Trammel said. “Keke was my bright child, my Angel.”

While emotions were high, many spoke with love and gratitude. They said even though their lives were cut short, they still reached so many people.

First responders and Mayor Jim Strickland came to mourn alongside the family.

“This tragedy will turn into a triumph,” teacher April Graves said.

Graves teaches at the school Alonzo attended. She said the victims’ memories live on through the lives they’ve touched.

“This family, as long as my team is here, will not be forgotten,” Graves said.
