MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -

A man is accused of driving drunk with children and guns inside his car.

According to the police report, a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was getting off Interstate 40 onto Sycamore View Road when he saw a Chevy Silverado with Arkansas tags swerving on the exit ramp, almost crashing into the guardrail.

When the trooper pulled the truck over, he noticed the driver, Timothy Wesley Clark Jr., smelled like alcohol. His eyes were also red and his speech was slurred, though he was very talkative.

Clark said he had been at Main Event for about an hour, where he drank two beers.

Two young girls, 10 and 12 years old respectively, were in the backseat. The trooper also found seven guns, four unloaded "long guns" and three handguns, in the car. Two of the handguns were underneath the backseat where the girls were sitting.

The trooper said Clark performed poorly on his sobriety tests, even saying "I couldn't do that if I was sober" at one point.

Clark is charged with DUI, possession of a gun while under the influence, and child endangerment.
