If you see a pink Memphis Police Department patrol car around during the month of October, don’t worry, your eyes are not playing tricks on you.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness, MPD’s pink car, assigned to its C.O.P. Unit, will be at various events throughout the city.

MPD said the car was wrapped in pink by Decal Jones through a donation and partnership with the West Clinic and UT/West Institute for Cancer Research.

MPD officers were also given the chance to purchase pink badges to wear for the month of October.
